September 19, 2025: Wolsey, SD 57384 The Platte/Geddes Black Panthers were victorious over the host Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds football team by a score of 42-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Black Panthers face the Lyman Raiders (Presho, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 26. Platte/Geddes will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 38-20 league win over Bennett County (Martin, SD).
With the defeat, Wolsey-Wessington drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Warbirds travel to Gregory (Gregory, SD) to clash with the Gorillas in a Southeastern South Dakota (9 Man) outing on Friday, September 26. The Gorillas come into the outing with a record of 3-2. Gregory won 62-14 in their recent non-league outing against Stanley County (Fort Pierre, SD)
