In Friday's league match, the visiting Rye Cove Eagles football squad scored a decisive 41-0 victory over the Thomas Walker Pioneers.

The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA). The Blue Devils enter the Cumberland battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Castlewood was crushed by Auburn (Riner, VA), 54-16, in a non-league battle.

The Pioneers now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Happy Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. Thomas Walker will play a Warriors team coming off a 26-23 non-league win over Unicoi County (Erwin, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 5-0.
