Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Wayne Academy Jaguars (Waynesboro, MS), 41-35 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Simpson Academy improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lamar (Meridian, MS) to meet the Raiders in a non-league test on Friday, September 26. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 4-1. Lamar won 34-6 in their recent league test against East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS)
