The South Newton Rebels (Kentland, IN) football overcame the host Tri-County Cavaliers (Wolcott, IN), 34-18 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the West Central Trojans (Francesville, IN) in a Midwest game, on Friday, September 26. South Newton will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 5-0 record after their 36-7 league win over North Newton (Morocco, IN).

With the defeat, Tri-County drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Faith Christian (Lafayette, IN) to clash with the Eagles in a Midwest outing on Friday, September 26. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 1-4. Faith Christian lost 52-40 in their recent league game against North White (Monon, IN)
