The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the The First Academy Royals (Orlando, FL) and the host Venice Indians (Venice, FL), saw The First Academy's football team nip Venice by a final score of 21-14.

With the win, The First Academy advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Royals travel to Gadsden County (Havana, FL) to encounter the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, September 26. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Gadsden County lost 49-0 in their recent non-league bout against Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, FL)

The Indians now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Lehigh for a 7A District 8 bout on Friday, September 26. Venice will confront a Lightning squad coming off a 19-10 non-league win over North Fort Myers (North Fort Myers, FL). The Lightning record now stands at 2-2.
