California High School Flag Football - Gunderson thwarted by Harbor
September 19, 2025: Santa Cruz, CA 95062 Harbor Pirates (Santa Cruz, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their flag football team achieve victory over the visiting Gunderson Grizzlies (San Jose, CA), 37-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Harbor advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Pirates host San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA) to meet the Cougars in a match on Wednesday, September 24. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 0-1. San Lorenzo Valley lost 51-0 in their recent league match against Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, CA)
Coming up next, the Grizzlies meet the James Lick Comets (San Jose, CA) in a match, on Tuesday, September 23. Gunderson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Comets come into the match with a 4-1 record after their 13-12 league win over Independence (San Jose, CA).
