California High School Football - Merced tops Madera
September 19, 2025: Merced, CA 95344 The Merced Bears football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Madera Coyotes to 20 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Enochs for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. Merced will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 21-14 non-league loss to East Union (Manteca, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Madera drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Edison (Fresno, CA) to face the Tigers in a challenge on Friday, October 3. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Edison lost 29-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Shafter (Shafter, CA)
