The Cowan Blackhawks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears to 1 in the Blackhawks league victory on Thursday.

The Blackhawks now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wes-Del for a Mid-Eastern game on Wednesday, September 8. Cowan will meet a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne, IN). The Warriors record now stands at 9-1.

The Golden Bears (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Winchester Community (Winchester, IN). The Golden Falcons enter the non-league game with a 9-3 record. In their last game, Winchester Community dropped by Union County (Liberty, IN), 3-0, in a league game.
