The Avon Eagles football team (Avon, OH), was tipped 27-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Glenville Tarblooders (Cleveland, OH)

The Tarblooders (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against John Marshall (Cleveland, OH). The Lawyers come into the Senate challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, John Marshall nipped Cleveland Central Catholic (Cleveland, OH), 29-8, in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Avon Lake for a Southwestern challenge on Friday, September 9. Avon will meet a Shoremen team coming off a 38-7 non-league win over St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY). The Shoremen record now stands at 3-0.
