The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) and the visiting Marriotts Ridge (Marriottsville, MD), observed Howard's football squad defeat Marriotts Ridge by a margin of 35-27.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) in a Howard County match, on Friday, September 9. Howard will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 16-6 league win over Long Reach (Columbia, MD).
