Ohio High School Football - Independence drops to McKinley

September 2, 2022: Independence, OH 44131

In Friday's non-league game, the McKinley Red Dragons (Niles, OH) football team knocked off the host Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH), by a final score of 35-22.

The Red Dragons (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Lakeview (Cortland, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Northeast 8 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Lakeview toppled Liberty (Youngstown, OH), 21-8, in a non-league game.

The Blue Devils now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cuyahoga Heights for a Chagrin Valley - Metro game on Friday, September 9. Independence will battle a Red Wolves team coming off a 31-8 non-league win over Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH). The Red Wolves record now stands at 3-0.
