In Friday's non-league match, the host Southern Boone Eagles football squad scored a good 14-6 victory over the Mexico Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the California Pintos (California, MO) in a Tri-County match, on Friday, September 9. Southern Boone will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Pintos enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 61-34 non-league win over Fulton (Fulton, MO).

The Bulldogs (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Odessa (Odessa, MO). The Bulldogs enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Odessa ran past Clinton (Clinton, MO), 49-20, in a non-league match.
