North Carolina High School Football - Triton can't get by Sanderson

Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 56-55 in a non-league test.

With the win, Sanderson improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Heritage (Wake Forest, NC) to confront the Huskies in a non-league test on Friday, September 9. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 3-0. Heritage won 57-14 in their recent non-league test against Broughton (Raleigh, NC)

With the loss, Triton falls to 1-2 on the year. The Hawks travel to E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to play the Golden Bulls in a 3A/4A East Conference 23 battle on Friday, September 16. The Golden Bulls enter the battle with a record of 1-2. E.E. Smith lost 54-28 in their recent non-league battle against Clinton (Clinton, NC)
