The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM), saw Valley's volleyball squad nip Rio Grande by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings travel to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league game on Saturday, September 3. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 2-0. West Mesa won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
