In Friday's non-league battle, the host Faith Christian Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Father Capodanno Grunts.

The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Oakwood (Greenville, NC). The Eagles come into the NCISAA Carolina Independent 2A/1A battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Oakwood went down by Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
