The Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) volleyball overcame the visiting Trinity Tigers (Trinity, TX), 3-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Groveton upgrades its record to 6-17 on the year. The Indians travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 6. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 0-3. Crockett lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Hudson (Lufkin, TX)

The Tigers (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Tarkington (Cleveland, TX). The Longhorns enter the 3A Region III District 23 test with a 17-5 record.
