Alabama High School Volleyball - Hueytown can't hold off Sumiton Christian
September 2, 2023: Sumiton, AL 35148 In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Sumiton Christian Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Hueytown Golden Gophers.
The Eagles (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Moody (Moody, AL). The Blue Devils come into the non-league battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Moody nudged St. Clair County (Odenville, AL), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Golden Gophers clash with the Saint James Trojans (Montgomery, AL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 2. Hueytown will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Trojans come into the battle with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Russell County (Seale, AL).
