September 2, 2025: Shady Spring, WV 25918 James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), 4-2 in a league outing.
The Mavericks (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Bluefield (Bluefield, WV). The Beavers go into the Coalfield AA outing with a 0-2 record.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles (Beckley, WV) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, September 4. Shady Spring will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Flying Eagles come into the test with a 3-1 record after their 2-2 non-league Capital (Charleston, WV).
