Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) and the host Alexandria-Monroe Tigers (Alexandria, IN), observed Blackford's volleyball team hold off Alexandria-Monroe by a count of 2-1.

The Bruins (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Norwell (Ossian, IN). The Knights go into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record.
