Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Freeport knocks off Armstrong
September 2, 2025: Freeport, PA 16229 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Freeport Yellowjackets soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Armstrong River Hawks.
The Yellowjackets (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against North Catholic (Cranberry Township, PA). The Trojans enter the WPIAL AA 2 outing with a 2-0 record. In their last test, North Catholic edged Winchester Thurston (Pittsburgh, PA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The River Hawks now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Obama Academy of International Studies for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Armstrong will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
