New Jersey High School Soccer - East Side holds off Columbia
September 2, 2025: Newark, NJ 07105 East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ), 1-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, East Side advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, NJ) to play the Pirates in a Super Essex - American bout on Thursday, September 4. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Seton Hall Prep won 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ)
The Cougars (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Newark Tech (Newark, NJ). The Terries come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Newark Tech edged West Caldwell Tech (West Caldwell, NJ), 3-0, in a non-league game.
