Illinois High School Soccer - Maine West toppled by Oak Park-River Forest
September 2, 2025: Des Plaines, IL 60018 Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) fans were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their soccer squad prevail over the host Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL), 4-0 in a non-league bout.
The Huskies now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Wheaton North for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. Oak Park-River Forest will play a Falcons squad coming off a 6-1 non-league loss to Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Maine West moves to 0-1 on the year. The Warriors host Geneva (Geneva, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Geneva won 7-0 in their recent non-league bout against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)
