Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Mercer knocks off Mohawk Area
September 2, 2025: Mercer, PA 16137 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) and the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA), saw Mercer's soccer squad triumph over Mohawk Area by a count of 5-0.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their match against West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA). The Big Reds come into the District 10 Region 1 match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, West Middlesex was overwhelmed by Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA), 5-1, in a non-league match.
The Warriors now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Avonworth for a WPIAL AA 4 match on Thursday, September 4. Mohawk Area will meet a Antelopes team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Montour (McKees Rocks, PA). The Antelopes record now stands at 3-1.
