September 2, 2025: Winston-Salem, NC 27106 The Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC) soccer nipped the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC), 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
The Spartans now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4. Mount Tabor will encounter a Red Tornadoes squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to East Lincoln (Denver, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Southwest Guilford moves to 2-4 on the year. The Cowboys host Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to battle the Grizzlies in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a record of 2-1. Oak Grove won 4-0 in their recent non-league battle against Union Grove Christian (Lexington, NC)
