In Tuesday's non-league match, the Sam Houston Texans (Arlington, TX) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Carter Cowboys (Dallas, TX), by a count of 3-1.

Next up, the Texans battle the South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 match, on Tuesday, September 9. Sam Houston will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 3-1 non-league win over North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX).
