September 20, 2024: Algona, IA 50511 The Algona Bulldogs walloped the visiting Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley NIGHTHAWKS football team by a score of 35-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) in a 3A District 2 challenge, on Friday, September 27. Algona will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 49-14 non-league loss to Mason City (Mason City, IA).
The NIGHTHAWKS (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA). The Warriors enter the 3A District 1 challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Sergeant Bluff-Luton bounced Harlan (Harlan, IA), 42-0, in a non-league challenge.
