The Central Valley Cougars football squad scored 68 points and limited the host Anselmo-Merna Coyotes to 20 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burwell for a D2 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. Central Valley will meet a Longhorns squad coming off a 40-30 league loss to Palmer (Palmer, NE). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Anselmo-Merna drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Chambers/Wheeler Central (Chambers, NE) to meet the Renegades in a D2 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, September 27. The Renegades come into the test with a record of 2-2. Chambers/Wheeler Central lost 57-26 in their recent league test against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE)
