In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Independence Wildcats football squad scored a good 40-24 triumph over the Biggersville Lions.

The Wildcats (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Strayhorn (Sarah, MS). The Mustangs come into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Strayhorn defeated Ashland (Ashland, MS), 16-6, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Lions confront the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 27. Biggersville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 40-7 non-league loss to Calhoun City (Calhoun City, MS).
