Texas High School Football - Loop tops Christ the King Cathedral
September 20, 2024: Lubbock, TX 79413 The Loop Longhorns football squad scored 50 points and limited the host Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions to 30 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lorenzo for a non-league test on Friday, September 27. Loop will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 58-34 non-league loss to Southland (Southland, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Christ the King Cathedral drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Golden lions host Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX) to meet the Elks in a non-league test on Friday, September 27. The Elks come into the test with a record of 0-0.
