Louisiana High School Football - Comeaux loses to New Iberia
September 20, 2024: Lafayette, LA 70508 New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Comeaux Spartans (Lafayette, LA), 48-23 in a non-league battle.
With the win, New Iberia advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Acadiana (Lafayette, LA) to encounter the Rams in a 5A District 3 battle on Thursday, September 26. The Rams go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Acadiana won 20-7 in their recent non-league battle against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA)
The Spartans now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Rayne for a 4A District 4 battle on Friday, September 27. Comeaux will encounter a Wolves team coming off a 34-27 non-league loss to Church Point (Church Point, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-2.
