September 20, 2024: Waukee, IA 50263 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Dowling Catholic Maroons (West Des Moines, IA) and the host Northwest Wolves (Waukee, IA), witnessed Dowling Catholic's football squad edge Northwest by a count of 21-14.
The Maroons (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Roughriders enter the 5A Group 1 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Roosevelt was nudged by Ames (Ames, IA), 49-21, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Wolves confront the Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) in a 5A Group 4 contest, on Friday, September 27. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Wahawks enter the contest with a 4-0 record after their 36-26 non-league win over Davenport North (Davenport, IA).
