In Friday's league match, the host Tuscaloosa Academy Knights football squad scored a decisive 49-14 victory over the Greene County Tigers.

The Knights (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Vincent (Vincent, AL). The Yellow Jackets enter the 2A Region 5 match with a 4-0 record.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Sumter Central Jaguars (York, AL) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 27. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Jaguars enter the match with a 0-5 record after their 30-14 league loss to Dallas County (Plantersville, AL).
