The Independence 76ers edged the visiting Mt. Pleasant Cardinals football team by a score of 25-24 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the 76ers face the Prospect Panthers (Saratoga, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 26. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record.
