The Nicholas County Grizzlies were victorious over the host Lincoln Cougars football team by a score of 41-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Grizzlies face the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 4. Nicholas County will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.

The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Huskies enter the Big Ten challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, North Marion lost by Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV), 55-12, in a league challenge.
