The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Locust Fork Hornets (Locust Fork, AL) and the visiting Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL), witnessed Locust Fork's football squad edge Pennington by a tally of 51-44.

The Hornets (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region 6 contest with a 4-0 record.

Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Cleveland Panthers (Cleveland, AL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 27. Pennington will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 2-2 record after their 28-8 league win over West End (Walnut Grove, AL).
