September 20, 2024: Opelousas, LA 70570 The Opelousas Catholic Vikings walloped the visiting Port Barre Red Devils football team by a score of 42-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings face the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) in a 1A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, September 26. Opelousas Catholic will attempt to improve on its 3-0 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 17-14 non-league win over Basile (Basile, LA).
The Red Devils (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marksville (Marksville, LA). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Marksville was ripped by Iota (Iota, LA), 35-34, in a non-league challenge.
