Kentucky High School Football - West Carter defeats Powell County
September 20, 2024: Stanton, KY 40380 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting West Carter Comets football squad scored a good 65-44 victory over the Powell County Pirates.
The Comets (2-2) will now prepare for their match against East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Raiders enter the 3A District 6 match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, East Carter was outscored by Greenup County (Greenup, KY), 55-20, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Pirates confront the Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 27. Powell County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 42-20 non-league win over Green (Franklin Furnace, OH).
