Tennessee High School Football - William Blount triumphant over West Ridge
September 20, 2024: Maryville, TN 37801 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the William Blount Governors (Maryville, TN) and the visiting West Ridge Wolves (Blountville, TN), witnessed William Blount's football squad wallop West Ridge by a tally of 53-13.
The Governors (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Science Hill (Johnson City, TN). The Hilltoppers enter the 6A Region 1 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Science Hill was trounced by Maryville (Maryville, TN), 23-17, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Wolves confront the David Crockett Pioneers (Jonesborough, TN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 27. West Ridge will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Pioneers enter the contest with a 3-1 record after their 41-38 league win over Cocke County (Newport, TN).
