September 20, 2024: Elk City, OK 73644 The Merritt Oilers got by the visiting Stuart Hornets softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Oilers meet the Shattuck Indians (Shattuck, OK) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 23. Merritt will attempt to upgrade on its 15-13 season record.
The Hornets (29-6) will now prepare for their challenge against North Rock Creek (Shawnee, OK). The Cougars go into the non-league challenge with a 24-5 record. In their last challenge, North Rock Creek held off Poteau (Poteau, OK), 10-6, in a non-league challenge.
