Michigan High School Volleyball - Mackinac Island can't get by Alcona
September 20, 2024: Mackinac Island, MI 49757 Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) followers left the game satisfied Friday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Mackinac Island Lakers (Mackinac Island, MI), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Alcona advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Whittemore-Prescott (Whittemore, MI) to face the Cardinals in a North Star test on Tuesday, September 24. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 1-8. Whittemore-Prescott lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Atlanta (Atlanta, MI)
The Lakers now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Munising Baptist for a Northern Lights test on Monday, September 23.
