Illinois High School Football - Leo thwarted by Marian Catholic
September 20, 2025: Chicago, IL 60620 Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Leo Lions (Chicago, IL), 28-8 in a non-league battle.
The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Carmel (Mundelein, IL). The Corsairs come into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Carmel was beaten by St. Laurence (Burbank, IL), 34-3, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Lions meet the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers (Aurora, IL) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 6. Leo will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
