Kentucky High School Soccer - Apollo knocks off Mayfield
September 20, 2025: Mayfield, KY 42066 In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Apollo Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Mayfield Cardinals.
The Eagles (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Ohio County (Hartford, KY). The Eagles come into the non-league test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Ohio County Daviess County (Owensboro, KY), 2-2, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now have a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshall County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Mayfield will clash with a Marshals team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Evansville Harrison (Evansville, IN). The Marshals record now stands at 9-7.
