South Carolina High School Volleyball - Mid-Carolina can't get by Socastee
September 20, 2025: Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Socastee improves its record to 1-8 on the season. The Braves host St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC) to face the Sharks in a AAAA Region 6 test on Tuesday, September 23. The Sharks go into the test with a record of 7-4. St. James lost 3-0 in their recent league test against North Myrtle Beach (Little River, SC)
The Rebels now own a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chesterfield for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 20. Mid-Carolina will meet a Golden Rams team coming off a 3-0 league loss to North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Golden Rams record now stands at 3-5.
