Rhode Island High School Soccer - Cumberland nudges Barrington
September 21, 2022: Barrington, RI 02806 Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Clippers confront the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) in a State Championship Division challenge, on Saturday, September 24. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 4-0 league win over Classical (Providence, RI).
The Eagles now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a State Championship Division challenge on Friday, September 23. Barrington will confront a Lions team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Tolman (Pawtucket, RI). The Lions record now stands at 1-2.
