North Carolina High School Soccer - Owen knocks off Draughn
September 21, 2022: Valdese, NC 28690 Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Warhorses confront the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, September 26. Owen will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC).
The Wildcats now possess a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Avery County for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Monday, September 26. Draughn will confront a Vikings team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-5.
