September 21, 2023: Mocksville, NC 27028 Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the War Eagles confront the Parkland Mustangs (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 25. Davie will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Reagan (Pfafftown, NC).
The Buckin' Elks now possess a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Airy for a non-league challenge on Monday, September 25. Elkin will confront a Granite Bears team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 2-0.
