September 21, 2024: Woodstock, CT 06281 The Stonington Bears were victorious over the host Woodstock Academy Centaurs football team by a score of 57-26 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears face the Quinebaug Valley co-op Pride (Putnam, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 27. Stonington will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Pride enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 15-12 non-league loss to Plainfield (Central Village, CT).
The Centaurs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Plainfield (Central Village, CT). The Panthers enter the Eastern Connecticut II challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Plainfield lost by Ledyard (Ledyard, CT), 42-0, in a league challenge.
