Kentucky High School Soccer - Greenwood nudged by Marshall County
September 21, 2024: Benton, KY 42025 Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Marshall County moves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Marshals travel to Mayfield (Mayfield, KY) to clash with the Cardinals in a District 2 test on Tuesday, September 24. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 5-9. Mayfield lost 6-1 in their recent non-league test against St. Mary (Paducah, KY)
The Gators now sport a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Station Camp for a non-league test on Monday, September 23. Greenwood will clash with a Bison team coming off a 9-0 league win over Greenbrier (Greenbrier, TN). The Bison record now stands at 5-7.
