September 21, 2024: Uniondale, NY 11553 Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds (Uniondale, NY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), 4-1 in a league match.
With the triumph, Kellenberg Memorial moves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Firebirds host St. Anthony's (Melville, NY) to meet the Friars in a NSCHAA match on Tuesday, September 24. The Friars come into the match with a record of 1-1. St. Anthony's lost 1-0 in their recent non-league match against Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ)
The Eagles now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. John the Baptist for a NSCHAA match on Saturday, September 21. Barrington will meet a Cougars team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
