New York High School Soccer - La Salle Institute toppled by Columbia
September 21, 2024: Troy, NY 12180 Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host La Salle Institute Cadets (Troy, NY), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Columbia moves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY) to clash with the Spartans in a Suburban Council- Gray test on Tuesday, September 24. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-3.
The Cadets now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Glens Falls for a non-league test on Monday, September 23. La Salle Institute will clash with a Black Bears team coming off a 6-1 league win over Scotia-Glenville (Scotia, NY). The Black Bears record now stands at 4-2.
